Osei Kyeretwie Senior High is building up to the inter-schools and colleges soccer competition of the Ashanti Region with competitive friendly matches as they bid to reclaim the trophy which has eluded them for the past ten years
OKESS has been engaged in series of friendly matches to fine tune their preparations for the upcoming ‘milo’ competition which is scheduled to kick off with the qualifiers on the 16th of November.
OKESS has played a number of low key and competitive friendlies home and away with mixed results which has raised some concerns in the school regarding their readiness for the competition.
OKESS lost 1:0 to NVTI in one of their friendlies and then managed to beat Islamic SHS 2:1
Toase Senior High also accounted for OKESS by two goals to zero. Esaase Bontefufuo also accounted for OKESS by 2 goals to zero.
The string of losses to unfancied schools in soccer like TOSS, NVTI and Esaase have raised concerns about the followers of OKESS who are beginning to question the readiness of the team for the upcoming campaign.
But tactical genius Kwame Amoako and his team are confident that those results will not affect the team as it bids to qualify for the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ghana’s U-17 starlet Emmanual Toku is expected to join the team for the qualifiers and will, obviously add some bite upfront with his experience and exposure.
