It was a battle of wits and controversy at the Armed Forces SHS venue grounds when four high profile schools battled it out for the sole qualification ticket to the last round of 32 to be played at Baba Yara stadium.
Last year Semi-finalist KNUST battle it out against perennial qualifiers Tweneboa Kodua SHS, Kings College and Mampong based St. Joseph’s Seminary.
It was Kumawu based TKSS who managed to grab the ticket from KNUST after close of proceedings.
The results were as follows;

Opoku Ware School qualified to the last round of 32 after overcoming Namong and Wesley High, Bekwai.

At the Opoku Ware School park today, Prempeh College qualified smoothly without any hitch after overcoming Bonwire and Ejuraman.

At Prempeh College qualification grounds KASS survived a scare to secure qualification to the last round of 32.

KUMACA survived a hellish experience and a nerve racking experience to pick the sole qualification ticket after a dramatic turn of events when three of the four schools all tied at 6 points with each winning two and losing one but thanks to a superior goal difference, the Asokore Mampong based school will still have the opportunity to appear at Baba Yara Stadium.
