The Old Students of Adu Gyamfi SHS have made a modest donation of food items to the soccer team of their Alma matta at a short ceremony at Jamasi today.
The gesture from the Old Students is to support the team and boost their moral as they go into a quarter final game on Monday with Kumasi Anglican Senior High School at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The items donated by the old students included cartons of milo, milk, energy drinks, bottled waterr as well as fruits.
The items were presented by a delegation of the old students (AGOSA ) at short ceremony on the school field at Jamasi and was received on behalf of the playing body by the Headmistress of the school Ms. Joana Frimpong who thanked the old students for their kind gesture to the team and appreciated them for responding to the clarion call of the players. She assured them that the players will work hard to uplift the image of the school in the ongoing Ashanti Regional inter-schools soccer competition.
The Captain of the team Tanko on behalf of the boys pledged to work hard to make the old students proud.
Present at the short ceremony were the Assistant Headmaster Academic, Mr. Attakorah, and the other two Assistant Heads of the school as well as the three P.E. Tutors of the school Khalid Atta Osei, Lawrence Atta a.k.a Kalusha and back to bat an Hon. Micheal Opoku.
Adu Gyamfi SHS goes into a crucial quarter final battle with KASS on Monday at 9am.
