Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School managed to beat off stiff composition from T. I. Amass, Kumasi, defending champions Konongo Odumase senior high school, Kumasi High School, Dadease Agric Senior High, KNUST Senior High School, Ejisu Sectec and a host of other schools in zone three to emerge winners of the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council’s ACME Quiz Competition.
The competition was hoted by T. I. Amass, Kumasi and featured schools in zone three with a place in the final as the ultimate prize for the first four schools.
The four rounds of English Language, Social Studies, Current Affairs and Multimedia saw over 70 member schools accross the region compete for a the ticket to the final slated for February next year inow four zones.
The competition was staged in two batches with the overall performance evaluated uniformly based on a defined criteria.
Konongo Odumase SHS topped the first batch with Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School also taking the second batch with 42 points.
At the end of the overall competition, Tweneboa Kodua Senior High emerged first, with Konongo Odumase SHS placing Second, Kumasi High School picked the third spot with T. I. Amass, Kumasi and Juaso SHTS tieing at the fourth position.
These schools will thus represent zone three in the finals of the competition while will feature winners from the various zones compete for mouth watering prizes.
