A legend goes home but his legacy lives on. When masters and students trouped in and out of the residence of Mr. M. O. Yeboah last Sunday with sad faces and some wailed uncontrollably in front of his residence on campus, only one conclusion was possible, the legend has passed on, Mr. Micheal O. Yeboah has been called home.
Unbelievable as the story was, calls started flying around as loved ones started looking for confirmation and each confirmation was received with shock and unbelief.
The shocking demise of M. O. Yeboah, Current Headmaster of Kumasi High School has rocked the foundations of the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council, the Schools and Colleges Sports Federation of the Ashanti Region and the Writers and Debaters Club. M. O. as he was affectionately called until his untimely death was the head of the disciplinary committee of the schools and colleges Sports Federation of the Ashanti Region and the Regional Patron of the Writers and Debaters Club.
He was pillar of support for the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council due to his understanding and support for students activism and Advocacy and was highly regarded as one of the most supportive head of institutions.
The Regional Director of Education Mrs. Mary Owusu Achiaw speaks highly of him so as Mr. Osei Mensah, Regional P.E. Cordinator.
When all is said and done, it is not how long we live that matters but how we use our short existence to impact lives and this is the very story of the late M. O. Yeboah.
The Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council together with the Local SRC of Kumasi High School say, M.O. nante yie, damirifa due, yours was a life well lived. Your solid legacy lives coz a Legend doesn’t die.
