Kintampo Waterfalls Tragedy will not prevent us from Future Educational Trips: Wenchi Senior High Headmaster

Headmaster of Wenchi Methodist Senior High School has confirmed that the school lost 15 students in the unfortunate incidence at the Kintampo Waterfalls. The Headmaster spoke to Abusua 96.5fm ‘s Kwame Adinkra on Abusua Nkommo and expressed sadness about the unfortunate incidence but added that the incidence will not deter them from any future educational trips since it was an act of God, and not as a result of any action or inaction of authorities. Over 60 students of the school were touring some heritage and geographical sites as part of efforts to familiarise themselves with such historical sites.

Meanwhile,  Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, is in the Brong Ahafo Region at the Kintampo Waterfalls following the tragic accident on Sunday, which claimed 18 lives and left 22 injured. Accompanying the Vice President were the Interior, National Security and Tourism Ministers, as well as the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister.
