Schools are implementing full fees payment policy for final year students following approval from educational authorities. This means that students in the final year who are effectively spending average of three weeks into the term before completion will be required to pay full fees per the directive.
There have been some complaints and agitations in some schools as students continue to seek answers to this harsh policy.
Lots of complaints have been directed to the doorstep of the Regional SRCs of the various regions to act in the interests of students.
The efforts of the Regional SRCs have however yielded no concrete response so far since the issue emanated from Accra. The Regional Council’s including the Ashanti and Greater Accra Regional SRCs are seeking the support and collaboration of the mother body National Union of Ghana Students to seek audience with the minister of education and the director general to get a reduction.
