The Orientation teams were back on the road today. After a brief hold due to the BECE examination, the ARSRC today continued today with their campaign against Students’ unrest.
The Orientation team was divided into two teams, with team 1 taking charge of Afua Kobi Ampem Girls SHS and team 2 taking charge of Konongo Odumase SHS.
The schools present with the host school Afua Kobi Ampem were, Osei Tutu SHS, Toase SHS and Nkawie SHTS. Orientation team 1 was led by Hon. Raphael Sarkodie and assisted by Hon. Osborn Opoku Kwame.
The schools present at Konongo Odumase SHS alongside the host school were Saint Marys Girls SHS, Wesley High, Konongo and Juaso SHS. Orientation team 2 was led by Hon. Augustine Armah and assisted by Hon. Portia Pellow.
One thing that was a feature of the two orientations was the remarkable delivery of the various speakers. The students were well comported and seriously scribbled down notes for personal studies later.
The ARSRC hopes that these orientations would go a long way in inculprating good moral values and leadership skills in students.
Speaking to the Editorial Commitee, Hon. Pellow had this to say concerning the orientations,
“I believe that the probality of the survival of society can be directly measured by the current stateof its youth. The ARSRC is playing it’s role in ensuring that we have a set of visionary leaders with the necessary skills needed to propel Ghana and Africa as a whole”.
The ARSRC hopes that the students would apply the knowledge that they have received.
We would take opportunity to thank all the heads, patrons and presidents of the schools which took part in our orientations.
