Who Wins Ashanti’s Best P.E. Tutor for 2017: Tepa, Kass, Japass, Amass shortlisted

The Awards Committee of the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council released its shortlist of their prestigious Annual SHS Excellence Awards with some exciting categories to watch out for.

One Category that will attract a lot of attention is the Ashanti’s Most Outstanding P. E. Tutor of the year and Ashanti’s Best Sports School of the year.

The shortlist includes Mr. Patrick Larbi a.k.a Patoo of Kumasi Anglican SHS, Ansem Nyavedzi of T. I. Amass-Ksi, Moses Osei of Tepa SHS and Joseph Adu-Poku of Jachie Pramso SHS.

Patoo was instrumental in breaking KASS’s ten year jinx of not winning the Boys Soccer Competition, Mr. Ansem aided Amass’s hold on athletics and other disciplines in the Region. Moses Osei has been instrumental in Tepa’s success story in netball, volleyball and other disciplines while Adu-Poku has spearheaded JAPASS’s competitive edge in various disciplines.
The shortlist was done with the input of the Sports Federation.

The four shortlisted P. E. Tutors will battle it out for this prestigious award.

The winner will be announced on the 1st of August and will receive his award from the Regional Minister and the Regional Director of Education at the Opening Ceremony of the 20th Annual Residential Congress of the ARSRC scheduled for Tepa SHS on the 1st of August, 2017.

The Council Congratulates all the nominees.

I personally share the sentiments that all these schools that have been shortlisted certainly deserve to win but in the light of choosing one as best the indexes that may be used are not that far fetched……recent achievements of the various schools is laudable but the achievement net I believe shouldn’t capture only one particular sporting field, so to speak…… sports includes not only football but other disciplinaries. Amass is faring well in athletic competition likewise japass but kass is fairing soundly in all the other disciplinaries…but the judgement certainly rest with our honourable awacom members…more power to their elbows!!
