The Ashanti regional students’ Representative council held its annual congress. This congress was the 20th congress since the establishment of the council. The congress was hosted by Tepa Senior High School.
Some of the dignitaries present at the week-long celebration of students’ democracy were Hon. Dr Yaw osei Adutwum the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs Mary Achiaw the regional director of education, Nana Atweraa Ampem the omanhene of Tepa traditional area, Mr. Joseph Koranteng the immediate past officer-in-charge of the ARSRC, Hon. David Ohene-Amoako the immediate past coordinator of the ARSRC, Hon. Amankwaah Osei Wusu the chairman of the Association of Past Executives and Coordinators and a whole lot more.
Also present were delegates from Greater Accra Regional Students’ Representative Council and the Central Regional Students’ Representative Council.
As part of the program, the baton of student leadership was also handed over from the 2016/2017 batch to the 2017/2018 batch of executives. The new executives would be led by Hon. Raphael Quainoo from Asanteman Senior High School.
