Inter-Schools Soccer: RaphSark predicts 8 Schools to Qualify On Monday (Day 1)

All is set for the Ashanti Regional Inter-schools Soccer Qualifiers to kick off on Monday the 13th November at eight centers.
With eight tickets available for each day through a four day qualifying period, all guns will be blazing at these centers as competing schools bid to secure qualification to the last round of 32.
RaphSark analyzes the action at all the various centers and makes bold prediction about which teams will qualify at the end of events.

Group 1.
Venue: OWASS
Former Champions Obuasi SecTech are expected to sail through Group 1 against opposition like Angel Educational Complex, Uthmaniya and Bankoman SHS.
Though Bankoman gave them a tough time last year, Osectec qualified with a protest after Bankoman was adjudged to have used unqualified players.
The Obuasi based school has been impressive in their build up to the qualifiers and looks are tipped to qualify.

RaphSark predicts Obuasi SecTech to qualify.

Group 2:
Venue: KASS
Adventist SHS-KSI will not have it easy against the Owerriman SHS in Group 2 on Monday. Krobea Asante and Methodist SHTS will make the difference between the two schools.
Owerriman looked good in their build up with Adventist SHS not looking so impressive. If Owerriman can parade 11 qualified players, they will secure qualification to the round of 32.

RaphSark predicts: Owerriman SHS to qualify.

Group 3 at Prempeh College

Barekese will battle with Kofiase SDA SHS for the only ticket in the group ahead of COTECH and Atwima Kwanwoma SHS in Group 3 Kofiase SDA are not bad following their build up to this qualifiers but Barekese is too solid for the Kofiase based school. Bare has been inconsistent in their results, winning and losing matches on the road but should be able to have enough arsenal to make it.

RaphSark predicts: Barekese SHS to qualify

Group 4 at KUGISS
Prempeh College are looking good from in their build up having drawn only one match and winning most matches but won’t have it easy against Ejuraman SHS.
Denyasiman SHS and Newly formed Agric Nzema Community SHS will be the deciding factor against Prempeh College and Ejuraman.
The pedigree of Prempeh college coupled with their experience Licensed coach Anokye should be enough to get Prempeh through.

RaphSark predicts: Prempeh College to qualify.

Group 5 at KUMACA
This is a group of equals with slightly experienced Dwamena Akenten SHS expected to nip it over Bonwire and Akrofuom SHS.
Bonwire SHS and Akrofuom SHS will equally prove quite handful for Dwamena Akenten who have won almost all their friendly matches ahead of the qualifiers. It’s a straight fight among the three schools with Church of Christ SHS predicted to be whipping boys in the group.
RaphSark predicts: Dwamena Akenten SHS to qualify.

Group 6 at KTI
Asanteman SHS will need to dig deep to find answers for Aboaso based Gyaama Pensan SHS.
Konongo Wesley High and Methodist Senior High are expected to offer little competition for the two schools. A slightly experienced Asanteman SHS who have not been bad in their build up to the qualifiers will have a slight edge over Gyaama Pensan.
RaphSark predicts: Asanteman SHS to qualify.

Group 7 at OKESS
Perhaps the most difficult group or he group of death will be this group as perennial qualifiers Agona SecTech battled last year quarter finalist Sakafia SHS. Asamang based Konadu Yiadom SHS will also be a deciding factor between the two schools.
Sakafia will love to feature in this year’s Inter-schools round of 32 again against a solid ASTEC side who beat T. I. Amass-Ksi in their build up to the qualifiers.
Konadu Yiadom and KNVTI will be deciding factors.
If the two sides will parade clean sides and test their strength against each other fairly, any of the two sides should secure qualification.
On the basis of form and preparation,

RaphSark predicts: Agona SecTech to qualify

Group 8 at Armed Forces SHTS
It will be interesting to see how Top8 Champions Kumasi High School will fair against Adanwomasi SHS and Bodwesango SHS. This group has always been a difficult one every year and is expected to be so this year. However Kumasi High School has been in an incredible form winning 5:0 in some of their matches against some decent oppositions.
Adanwomasi won’t be pushovers though but will find KUHIS too difficult to scale.

RaphSark predicts: Kumasi High School to qualify.

Stay tuned for Day 2 Predictions
