The President of National Union of Ghana Students Elisha Oheneba Essumang and the National Executives of the student body supported by the Regional President and Co-ordinator of the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council have visited the campus of Kumasi Academy to solidarize with authorities and students.
Kumaca has been in the news lately following the unfortunate deaths of some students which has been diagnosed to be swine flu.
It emerged the four Kumasi Academy students who died over the last few days died of Influenza Type A popularly referred to as Swine Flu.
The NUGS and Ashanti Regional Executives had a closed door meeting with the Headmaster and Assistant Headmasters of the institution to take a first hand briefing of the current situation.
The student leadership later donated 500 pieces of hand sanitizers to the school and promised to top it up to 1000. The sanitizers are to be shared to the students as part of efforts to support ongoing safety efforts.
