For the first time ever in high school football, Ashanti Regional Champions Adu Gyamfi senior high school will take on High School Champions of Liberia World Wide Mission High School in an international friendly match at the Baba Yara Stadium at a date yet to be decided.
The match was initially set for 29th March 2018 but had to be postponed to April due to visa problems encountered by the delegation of world wide mission high school.
The arrangement for the match has already been done with negotiations between foreign affairs of Ghana and Liberia underway as well as the Education Service of both countries and the officials of the National Sports Authority.
As part of the package for winning the Liberian high school championship World Wide Mission High School is sponsored to play a national friendly in 1 African country and the liberian foreign affairs opted for Ghana and eventually Adu Gyamfi senior high school who are the regional champions of ashanti region due to the lack of national championship in Ghana.
Visa arrangements and challenges with organisations warranted a change in the initial date of 29th March to a later date in April to be confirmed later.
The Liberian high school champions were initially looking for an opportunity to play the national champions of Ghana.
