GES Warns: Don’t sack students from exams hall for school fees

The Director General of Ghana Education Service has directed or heads of institutions not to prevent final year candidates from writing their exams because of fees.

In a release dated 4th of April, the DG entreated heads of institutions not to put any impediments on the way of finalists who owe school fees.

There were various reports across the country that some heads of institutions where preventing students from writing their exams as a result of their indebtedness to the school but the released from the director general has clarified the issues directing all heads of institutions to find other means of collecting the money and not to use the legitimate right of students in writing their exams as a means of school fees collection.
