OKESS Headmistress Adjudged Most Outstanding Head of Institution in Ashanti

The Headmistress of Osei Keyeretwie Senior High School Madam Mary Cromwell Owusu has been adjudged the Most Outstanding Head of institution in Ashanti Region for the 2017/2018 academic year.
The affable and lovely Headmistress beat off competition from five other shortlisted heads of institutions to be crowned the most outstanding head of institution.
She received the award during the Opening Ceremony of the 21st Annual Residential Congress of the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council held at KNUST SHS.

The annual awards for deserving institutions and personalities is organized by the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council with the selection done by the Awards Committee of the ARSRC.

The Committee in presenting the award to the affable Headmistress indicated that that Madam Mary Cromwell Owusu has demonstrated outstanding leadership in varied areas ranging from administrative to finance and in handling crisis. She has been very cooperative with the local and the regional councils of the SRC, cleared all outstanding debt to the Regional Council, hosted events successfully and smoothly dealt with challenging crisis in a very professional manner.
OKESS has gone through various challenges over the past year but through her instrumentality, she has managed to wither the storm.

The award was presented to her by the Regional Director of Education Mary Owusu Achiaw (Mrs) in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and the student leaders drawn from second cycle institutions across the Ashanti region.

The Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Joe Osei Owusu were all honoured.

Other Recipients of the Awards included Mr. Tahiru Amidu of Aduman SHS as the Most Outstanding Local Patron, Most Outstanding P. E. Tutor went to Joyce Boatey of Kumasi Girls.
