Luv Fm/ARSRC High Skuul Debate: Timelines Out, Kicks off on 17th Sept. 16 Top Schools Set for Battle

The maiden edition of the much anticipated Luv Fm/ARSRC High Skuul Debate will be officially launched on the 14th of September, 2018.

The program will be officially outdoored ahead of the main kick off with the Launch slated for the 17th of September.

The program is the initiative of the Multimedia Group with partnership and support from the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council. The program has been duly approved by the Regional Director of Education.

Sixteen schools are bidding for the bragging rights as the best debating school and some exciting prizes.

Ahead of the competition, the euphoria around the competition is catching up like wild fire across the rank and file of student groups.

Multimedia Group are promising a very exciting competition which will be aired on various platforms of the Multimedia group including Television, Radio and Online.

The sixteen schools competing for the honors are Prempeh College, Opoku Ware School, Yaa Asantewaa Girls, St. Louis SHS, St. Monica SHS, Tepa SHS, Akrofuom SHTS, Armed Forces SHTS, KNUST SHS, Kumasi High School, Osei Tutu SHS, Adventist Girls SHS, T. I. Amass, Kumasi, Konongo Odumasi SHS, Kumasi Girls SHS and Anglican SHS.

The selection for the schools were done based on the history of school’s performances in recent debate competitions. Most of the schools are former debate champions at various levels.

The timelines for the competition will be issued out very soon.

There will be a meeting of masters in charge of the debaters of the various schools on the 7th of September, the main Launch and Draw will be on 14th September while the actual competition kicks off on 17th September, 2018.

The competition will span a two month duration with about two contest a week on elimination basis. Two schools face off in each contest. Eight schools will proceed to the quarter finals with four proceeding to the semifinals while two will eventually reach the finals of the competition.

It will be fireworks as the battle of minds and brains, oratory and delivery, charisma and gestures are showcased through the Luv FM /ARSRC High Skuul Debate.
