The Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council will deliver another exciting academic contest in the coming days as it teams up with another powerful media brand EIB’s Ultimate 106.9fm to stage the Ultimate High School Quiz.
The re-branded Acme Quiz which has been running for five years now will see over 120 member schools compete for a place in the last 24 to be aired on various EIB platforms.
The launch of the maiden Ultimate High School Quiz was held at Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS over the weekend and saw over one thousand student delegates from 120 schools across the region with the presence of the Regional Director of Education Mrs Mary Owusu Achiaw and Regional Patron of the SRC in attendance.
Speaking at the launch Ultimate FM’s head of Events and Marketing Nana Benyin Enamel outlined the coverage strategy for the Quiz and how they intend to roll out the competition to make it exciting and entertaining for all the schools.
The Regional Director promised her support for the competition and called on schools to compete healthily in the upcoming contest.
The Ultimate High School Quiz will see 24 schools qualify from the preliminary contest to the main competition in four rounds of gruel contest.
Round one will be on English Language, round two on Social Studies while the third round will be in Current Affairs.
The last round will see contestants answer questions on Audio-Visuals.
The Preliminary Contest will take place from 20th to 23rd November at Prempeh College.
