‘Milo’ Soccer Day 3 Report: OKESS, Islamic, Adu Gyamfi, OWASS, Fomena, KOSHS Win,O.T, KOSS, TKSS, Armed Forces Out

Islamic SHS capitalized on the wastefulness of the attack of Osei Tutu SHS to emerge victorious after taking the lead. Osei Tutu did everything possible to equalize but Islamic proved unyielding. OT were awarded a penalty in one of their attacks but they failed to utilize the opportunity as the goalkeeper of Islamic who has build a reputation for himself in saving penalties manages to save this one as well. Islamic held on to their narrow lead to end the game 1:0.

 

Osei Kyeretwie SHS became the second school to secure qualification to the round of 16 after a narrow victory over Dadease Agric SHS.

OKESS needed to dig deep to find antidote to a stubborn Deadese side who were determined to snatch victory at all cost.

However OKESS managed to consolidate their one goal lead to book a ticket to the next round.

 

Defending Champions Adu Gyamfi SHS were given a scare of their lives by Armed Forces SHTS who matched them boot for boot before a beautiful screamer by their Striker nicknamed Montoya.

It was a very resilient performance from Armed Forces SHTS who were not intimidated by the form of the defending Champions. A well take opportunity from Adgass settled the stalemate

Opoku Ware School needed a last minute goal to avoid the lottery of penalties as the Santasi based side struggled against Bonwire SHTS in the first match of the day. OWASS were however saved by the last kick of the day when a well taken power drive which was expertly punched away by the goalie of Bonwire found the same on rushing player who converted neatly into the net to give OWASS a breather.

The second game of the day saw T. I. Amass Fomena showing some silky skills against another fine opponent Tweneboa Kodua SHS.

Fomena took the lead in the early minutes of the game and dictated the pace of the game until TKSS found their rhythm.

TKSS managed to equalise in the course of the game and held on push the game to penalties.

In the shootouts, T. I. Amass Fomena managed to beat TKSS by 4:3 to progress to the next round.

In the 3rd match of the day Kwasi Oppong SHS produced excellent display of soccer artistry  to overcome Konongo Odumasi SHS by 2:0.

Konongo Odumasi were KOSS not a bad side but found the going tough avast a very decent Kwasi Oppong side who were playing at this stage for the first time…
