‘Milo Soccer’ Day 4 Report: Amass, Prempeh, OWASS, O’SECTEC, ASASS Through: KUHIS, ASTEC, KNUST SHS, OASS Out

The last match of the day saw Opoku Ware defeat Fomena Amass by 1:0 in a relatively low tempo game which got many spectators bored after witnessing the KUHIS-Asanteman high tempo game.

OWASS held on to win by a goal to nil to book a quarter final ticket.

Kumasi High School has been kicked out of the ongoing Ashanti Regional inter schools soccer competition after 3:5 penalty defeat to Asanteman SHS in a thrilling encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.

High School were cruising to a victory after a late goal but Asanteman equalised through the last corner kick of the day to push the game to penalties.

The two teams sold a very exciting game to the spectators at the stadium with their individual quality and team play.

Prempeh College are through to the next stage of the competition after a 3:1 victory over Okomfo Anokye SHS.

Prempeh took the lead in the early hours of the game but Okomfo Anokye came in strongly to equalise. However within seconds of scoring Okomfo Anokye conceded a soft penalty allowing Prempeh to restore the lead through a well converted penalty kick.
Prempeh managed to consolidate their lead by scoring through a corner kick.

T. I. Amass Kumasi were overly superior against KNUST SHS in the second game of the day as they posted a 3:0
KNUST SHS lacked talent and and skill and looked non-competitive through the game.
Amass struggled to impose themselves in the game but came in strongly in the course of the game as they won the game by three unanswered goals.

The 3rd Match of the day saw Agona SHTS drawing goaless with Obuasi SecTech. The two sides matched each other boot for boot as they eventually settled for a drawn game.
In the penalty shootouts, Obuasi SecTec won 3:2 on penalties to book a quarter final ticket.

Adu Gyamfi SHS were unable to honor the last match of the day against Kwasi Oppong SHS who lost a protest againsy KOSS. KOSS were however not present to honour the match as it was postponed to tomorrow.
