St Louis SHS held their handing over ceremony for the incoming Local SRC executives and newly elected prefects today at the new auditorium of the school.
The colorful ceremony was well attended by students, old students, parents, invited personalities and many others from all walks of life.
It was quite an emotional ceremony as the Jacqueline Dee Nyarko led administration handed over to new leaders ably led by Irene Quist as tears flowed down the cheeks of the outgoing executives and prefects.
Reading her last address to the student body, outgoing SRC President Jacqueline Dee Nyarko recounted her contribution to discipline in the school as she challenged the new executives to raise the standards.
The newly elected executives include: President Irene Quist, Vice-president Emma Nyong, General Secretary, Cleo-Patra Azantilow with Irina Nsia-Ababio as her deputy, Adwubi Bandoh as Organizer with Freda Boateng as her deputy, Hindra P. Apiiyah as financial secretary, Advisor Emmanuela Donkor with Louisa Atta Agyemang as deputy, Samuella Appiah,Cherisse Appia-Kubi, Erica Boatemaa Amankwah and Nelly Aduom W. as Executives without Portfolio while Barbara completes the list as Literary Group President. Editor in chief is Margaret Kukuaa Quansah.
The ceremony saw outgoing prefects and executives hand over their symbols of authority to new elected ones.
The Regional Coordinator Raphael Sarkodie entreated stakeholders to prioritize student leadership as platform to prepare future leaders.
