Greater Accra SRC Elects First Lady SRC President after 35 years

History was made yesterday at Labone SHS at the 34th Annual Residential Congress of the Greater Accra Regional SRC. The delegates overwhelmingly endorsed the candidature of Sandra Boateng Amponsah of Accra Wesley Girls High School to lead the GARSRC for the next academic year.

The GARSRC has seen only male occupants on the presidency and it was expected to follow the same trend but a determined and well motivated young lady from Accra Wesley Girls High School proved the connoisseurs wrong by beating the male counterparts and writing her name in gold in the history books.

Sandra Boateng is the Local SRC President of her school and carefully selected her running mate from West Africa SHS.

She beat completion from two other male counterparts from Chemu SHS and MEDASS who had their running mates respectively from Presec-Legon and Labone SHS.

The Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council congratulates the newly elected President and wishes her well.
