Luv/ARSRC Debate: 16 Schools Confirmed For Main Contest, Launch & Draw Set for Tuesday

Eight schools have booked their place in the main contest to join last year’s quarter finalists to make the pack of 16 schools heading into the main contest.

The eight schools that qualified from the preliminary stages included Konongo Odumasi SHS, Fomena Amass, Osei Tutu, Kumasi High School, St Hubert Seminary, St Jerome SHS, Prempeh College and Anglican SHS join last year’s eight quarter finalists to compete for the ultimate.

Last year’s winners T. I. Amass Kumasi, Armed Forces SHTS, Opoku Ware School, Tepa SHS, KNUST SHS, St Louis SHS, Yaa Asantewaa Girls and St Monica SHS.

All is set for the launch and draw on Tuesday ahead of the actual kick off.

It’s going to be fireworks as fifteen schools try to wrestle the trophy from T. I. Amass Kumasi.

The launch and draw is set for Tuesday 1st October at Christian Service University College.

The 16 will compete on knock out basis until the eventual winner is crowned.

The High School Debate is a partnership of Luv Fm, the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council and the Regional Education Directorate.

T. I. Amass Kumasi defeated Opoku Ware School to win the maiden edition of the competition last year.
