St Jerome wrote their name in gold in the history books of the High School Debate as the the first school outside the Kumasi Metro TO make it to the Final. The Offinso Abofour based Catholic School defeated favourites Tepa SHS to book an appointment with Opoku Ware school in the finals of this year’s Luv Fm/ARSRC High School Debate.
Tepa were semi finalists last year and were tipped to make it to the Final but got the shock of their lives after St Jerome won the contest.
Opoku Ware School made a mince meat of St Monica to qualify for their second final in two years in a contest which saw the Owareans win on the score cards of all three judges.
This will be their second final in succession after their defeat to T. I. Amass, Kumasi in the first edition.
The final competition is scheduled for Wednesday 30th October.
The High School Debate is a collaboration between Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council and the Multimedia Group Luv Fm.
