Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS has crowed Debora Anabila, a second year General Arts student of the institution as Miss Owoahene 2019 following an intense beauty and brains pageant organized by the Local SRC as part of activities marking their week celebrations.
Debora beat off competition from 12 contestants who were all eyeing the coveted crown at a colourful ceremony organized at the school’s auditorium.
From an initial shortlist of 12 applicants, the number was cut down to who battled it out at the finals of the competition.
The girls were taken through series of activities including talent shows, question and answer time and many others to separate them.
In the end Debora Anabila emerged victorious thrilling the audience with her beauty, poise, answering skills and talent.
Hamdia Dawud, a 3rd yr Business student emerged as the 1st Runner Up after a fierce fight for the crown while Marsha Ntim a second year arts student emerged as the 2nd Runner Up.
Akua, a beauty queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful and an old student of the schools graced the occasion and was part of the panel of judges on the day. Akua crowned Debora Anabila as the Miss Owoahene 2019.
