39-Year-Old Teacher crowned 2020 Best Ghanaian Teacher

A 39-year-old teacher of the Naylor SDA Basic School, Tema, Mr Eric Asomaning Asante, was adjudged the Best Teacher at an event organised at the New Examination Hall of the University of Cape Coast on Monday, October 5, 2020.

The day, which was also celebrated as World Teachers Day, saw Mr Eric Asomaning Asante
walking away with  a three-bedroom house worth GH¢1.8 million as his prize.

The first runner-up, Ms Anima Junior of the Aboabo Number 4 Presbyterian Primary School, will receive a double cabin pick-up, while Ms Sandra Osei of the Akwatia Technical Institute, the second runner-up, also received a Toyota saloon car.

The awards ceremony was on the theme:“Teacher leadership in developing crisis education responses”. and was organized by the National Teaching Council .

The event saw the President of the Republic, Akuffo Addo and his Minister for Eduction, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh gracing the occasion.
