A new directive from the Deputy Director General (Q & A) has rescinded the earlier communication that final year students were to be allowed to go home upon the advise of Ghana Health Service.
The new directive means that students will enjoy the mid semester break in school but there will be no academic work.
This is in strict compliance of Covid Protocols to avoid spread and to ensure safety of students and their parents.
Final year students have been clamouring for the break and the first directive came as a huge relief but the new communication from Ghana Education Service and Ghana Health Service is directing students to spend the mid semester break on the school campuses but will not go through the usual rigorous academic work.
The surging cases in Covid 19 calls for a strategic approach and this new directive is geared towards protecting students and parents alike.
Academic work resumes on Monday as earlier directed.
Students are entreated to embrace this new directive in their own interest and safety and for the safety of their families.
