Ofoase Kokoben SHS Receives Ultra Modern Sports Complex Donation

Ofoase Kokoben SHS has received an ultra modern games court from an indigeon of Ofoase Kokoben community, Barima Oppong Owusu, a Ghanaian based in the United States of America. Barima Oppong Owusu donated the ultra modern Court to the school in honor of his brother Alex-Owusu Appiah as good gesture to the school and part of his social responsibility to his community.

Barima Oppong Owusu believes the project will go along way to help unearth talent in the school and enhance their preparation towards sporting competitions in the region.

The multi purpose court has space for volley ball, netball, hockey, basketball and long tennis courts.

Receiving the donation, the outgoing Headmistress of the school, Mama Eva narrated how she convinced Barima to undertake the project as she promised that the project will be put to good use.

The complex named as Alex-Owusu Appiah Memorial Sports Complex was commissioned at a short ceremony in the school under the distinguished patronage of the doner Barima Oppong Appiah, some traditional rulers of the Ofoase Kokoben Traditional area and Staff of the school.
